Homework Hero is operated by Henry (Chip) and Kathleen (Kathy) Chappell of Columbia, SC.

Henry Chappell is Professor of Economics at the University of South Carolina. He was the named an inaugural recipient of the Master Teaching Award of the Darla Moore School of Business in 1999, based in part on his innovative use of the Web in distance education. In 2000 and in 2001 he was named the outstanding professor teaching a required course in the Professional MBA program. He is listed in the 1999 edition of Who's Who in Economics, and has published widely in academic journals in economics. His recent work concerns the politics of monetary policymaking.

Kathy Chappell works as a consultant for for Richland County District Two Schools, Columbia, SC, and has served as a school volunteer in a variety of positions.
