From Kyle France:

I know that the carpool line in the afternoon has been unusually slow which is due in some part to the start of the new school year. Hopefully, once more after school activities begin, the carpool line will ease up as well.

Having said the above, I do want to make a few recommendations relative to your picking up children at Kehoe-France during dismissal time. Please DO NOT use cell phones when driving on Kehoe-France campus. No explanation is required for this policy.

It is important to note that signs have been placed for no left turns onto Elise Avenue at West Metairie as well as no left turn out of the drive ways at Kehoe-France during dismissal. The traffic flow in and out of Kehoe-France was developed in conjunction with the Sheriff's office and the Parish. I ask that you adhere to all signs to ensure better traffic flow for everybody. The Sheriff's office will start ticketing people that make left turns onto Elise Avenue off of West Metairie.

I also strongly recommend that it is not necessary to arrive at 3 p.m. to pick up your child. The traffic would ease considerably if cars would come later during the dismissal period. This way traffic would move easier and cars would not be blocking traffic on Elise Avenue.

I also ask that if you wish to park and walk in to pick up your child, please use the parking lot across Elise Avenue from the school campus as well as perpendicular parking along the fence. DO NOT PARK PARALLEL to the fence and leave your car unattended. This is illegal and causes traffic problems getting in and out of the drive ways at school.

Please understand that the safety of your children is our primary concern at all times. While we do what we can to move the traffic flow thru the drive ways at school, it is imperative that children safety be our primary concern. Hearing someone honking their car horn in a school carpool line is ridiculous.

Announcements:

Please be aware that during the Saints football season, it is Kehoe-France policy that we will have classes but there will be no homework or tests scheduled the day after a week day home game.
