Students should be practicing Study Island two or three times a week. This is practice for the New Jersey ASK Tests that take place in May. How many Blue Ribbons will your child earn?

Students are responsible for completing all homework assignments given in class. If an assignment is not listed on this page or you are unable to access this page for any reason, homework is still due as scheduled and presented in class. Your child should copy all assignments in his/her daily planner.

 
Mathematics  Study the math facts.  
Science  What is a scientist? 
Social Studies   Globes and maps will reviewed.  
Information  

Supplies - be sure your child has the needed notebooks, colored pencils, pens,index cards,glue sticks, etc.

ASSIGNMENT BOOKS should be used and filled in each day! It is your child's responsibility to do this!
 

Handwriting   Please encourage your child to form cursive letters correctly and neatly. Unless students are told to print, all should be using cursive writing. PRACTCE WRITING! Also work on forming the numbers 0, 4, 5 and 6 correctly. 
Welcome to Fifth Grade students in Ms. Vogt and Mrs. Phillips' Classes.   A supply list for our students is posted below. We hope that this helps you and your family to prepare for September.

We suggest that you color coordinate your materials. For example - Blue spiral notebook, blue book cover, and a blue folder for Math. This will make it easier for your child when selecting materials to carry to another classroom.

Use a permanent marker to label all materials that can be labeled before bringing them to school.

2 boxes of colored pencils
plastic file box that will hold 3"x5" cards
smock for art
3 boxes of tissues
5 single subject spiral notebooks (Math, Social Studies, Science, Literature and Language Arts) No wider than 8 3/4"
4 large bookcovers/socks
4 packs of 3"x5" white index cards(lined on one side)
24 #2 pencils with erasers (no mechanical pencils)
12 black ink pens
4 red and /or green pens for correcting
2 Ultra - fine tip black markers
4 glue sticks
1 pencil case ( the type you can attach to a three ring binder)
8 gallon size Zip lock bags
6 pockets folders
1 pair of scissors ( not pointed)
1 hand held pencil sharpner
Addional items may be added throughout the year
.
All should have needed supplies and their books covered by 9/11.
