Welcome to Kehoe-France Northshore's Weekly Info E-Mail

January 29, 2010

From Mr. Bilbe:

We would like to thank our many parent volunteers for their efforts with our Festivals Around the World. Our preschoolers enjoyed the experience of visiting the different countries. Festivals is a great tradition at Kehoe-France and would not be possible without the help of our parents and teachers.

Please be reminded that students must be fever free for 24 hours before they can return to school. This also applies if they student leaves school in the middle of the day due to fever/sickness. This helps to prevent spreading of anything contagious that is going around.

We also would like to remind you that students are not allowed to carry any type of medication in their bag or on their person and if there is a medication they need to take during the day, please ask Erin for the medication form. This must be filled out so that we can administer the medicine. Once again we will be enforcing the policy of not administering medications without a form. If your child comes to the office and needs medication, we will call you to bring and administer it to them.

Our basketball season for our middle school teams came to end this week. We would like to thank our coaches for their hard work this year in working with our students. Thanks to those students and parents who made the commitment to be a part of athletic program.

To the families of our students:

We recently entered into a unique arrangement between our school and Special Olympics Louisiana to offer ScholarWisetm: A $120,000 Scholarship Trust Giveaway. Benefiting Special Olympics Louisiana, ScholarWise gives students and families in greater New Orleans/greaterSouthwest Louisiana/greater Baton Rouge the chance to win a $120,000 scholarship trust, which may be used to pay for any qualified educational expense for learners of all ages: from pre-K to post-grad to adult continuing education. Funds may also be used to retire student loans.

As a Premier Partner School, we earn $25 from every ScholarWise ticket purchased by you, a family member, or friend of our academic community. Simply provide our school name on the order form or give it to the representative who takes your call. Kehoe-France will be donating our $25 per ticket back to the Special Olympics. Net proceeds from the program support the worthy mission of Special Olympics Louisiana.

You can help your student enjoy an academic future relieved of financial pressure while supporting the Special Olympics Louisiana. It's a remarkable opportunity to help your student, our school, and a richly deserving organization like Special Olympics.
