Welcome to fourth grade. We are off to a great start and I look forward to many wonderful weeks ahead. Thank you to everyone who came to Curriculum Night. I enjoyed meeting all of you. If you were not able to attend Curriculum Night, I did send home my information packet that I gave out. If you have any questions regarding the information on it, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
This coming Wednesday, September 8th, is the first PTO meeting of the school year. It will start at 6:30pm and they are usually over no later than 7:30pm. They are in the WES library and free childcare is always provided.
Now is a great time to start practicing multiplication facts with your child.
There are a few classroom supplies that we do not need to have, but we enjoy having in the classroom. If at anytime you would like to donate any supplies that we would need, we would greatly appreciate it. Items we would welcome at any time would be baby wipes, Clorox or Lysol wipes, hand sanitizer, sticky notes, healthy snacks, and of course anything else that you feel would be helpful to our classroom. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
I do have a web site and I put the weekly newsletter and update on it every week. I update it every Friday. I also put the upcoming week's homework, spelling lists, the current read aloud, and some great web sites to check out. To get there go to the school web page which is http://www.winslow-es.u52.k12.me.us/ and then click on Mrs. Pomerleau’s Gr. 4 Classroom Page. I hope that you have a chance to check it out and that you find it useful and helpful. I welcome any comments and feedback!
In closing, I look forward to working with you and your child throughout the school year. I know that by us working together, we are going to help your child be the most successful fourth grader that they can be. Please know that I am very easily accessible. If you need to talk with me, please feel free to send your child in with a note, email me (cpomerleau@aos92.org), or call me at school (872-1967 ext. 2125). I will respond to you as quickly as I can.
Educationally,
Mrs. Pomerleau
