¡BIENVENIDOS A LA CLASE DE ESPAÑOL!Welcome to my homework site and to “Exprésate II". Homework Hero is the site you visit to see weekly classroom activities and homework assignments. Come back often during the week and plan your schedule effectively.  Students are enrolled in a high school course. In order to receive credit for this course, they have to successfully pass the course along with a mid-term exam given after the second quarter, and a final exam given at the end of the school year. Spanish II will reinforce and enhance previously acquired basic skills in Spanish I. It will continue developing communicative skills and cross-cultural understanding. The students will increase their listening, reading, writing and oral skills. They will work in small groups on a variety of activities, and will make oral presentations individually and in groups using the vocabulary and grammatical patterns they learn. Successful completion of this course results in one High School credit. TEXTBOOK AND WORKBOOK:
Exprésate II ACADEMIC EXPECTATIONS: 1. Be seated and start working quietly on the warm-up section of the day when the second bell rings. 2. Raise their hand to speak and wait to be called on. 3. Ask for permission to leave their seat. 4. Keep his/her your area clean and align desks before leaving the classroom. 5. Keep cell phones and other electronic devices off and inside backpack. 6. Respect other students and their property. 7. Refrain from eating, drinking or chewing gum. 8. Visit this website, www.homeworkhero.com, especially if you are sick or absent. * You are enrolled in a high school course. In order to receive credit for this course and a grade, you must successfully pass the course along with a mid-term and a final test given at the end of the year. Unless it is specifically stated otherwise, all homework is listed on the day it is assigned and is due the following class period. EXTRA HELP: Tutoring is available through the peer counseling program. **INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNET ASSIGNMENTS:** If you can not connect to the internet, you need a note signed by your parents in order to get an extention. NO NOTE = NO EXTENTION, NO EXCEPTION. If your printer does not work, you must write the questions with the correct answers and have your work signed by your parents. IMPORTANT DATES: Tuesday, September 07, 2010. Project: Create a collage or a poster to present in class. Have at least 10 different items you have cut from magazines/ scanned photos which would describe your life, likes/dislikes, what you would like to have or where you would like to go, where you went during your summer vacation, what you did, etc. Do not write on this presentation. Write on a separate sheet. You will not be able to read during your presentation. Practice before you make the presentation. The presentation must be at least 2 minutes. No reading. Complete "Hagan ahora": Write homework from the board in their agendas. 2. go over family member, adjectives to describe people and chores with powerpoint presentation and practice 3. practice months of the year, numbers, and days of the week Tarea(Homework) 1) Study. 2) Work on project. Remember: notes will not be allowed. Project counts for a project grade. Two minutes presentation. No reading.
August 31, 2010. Instructional Focus: The students will demonstrate prior learning from Spanish 1: school and school supplies. The students will: 1. complete "Hagan ahora" Anwer the following question: ¿Qué te toca hacer en la casa? Name four household chores. Make a sentence with each one of them. Ex. A mi hermano le toca sacar la basura todos los días. 2. go over vocabulary related with school: school subjects, school supplies, classes and practice 3. review different topics from Spanish 1 with powerpoint and questions, house and chores. September 02, 2010.
