Dear Parents & Students, please be sure to check upcoming dates for FCAT benchmark tests, quizzes and other grades, Also be aware that we will soon be doing "MAD MINUTES" (timed multiplication tests). Students must know their times tables through the 12s. Students may want to use www.multiplication.com to practice.

Suggested supplies for this year:
1 spiral per semester
1 folder per semester
looseleaf paper (keep some in your folder)
graph paper (keep some in your folder)
mechanical pencils & lead - or -
#2 pencils & a covered sharpener
plastic sheet protectors (keep some in your folder)
Silent Reader (everyday)
a small folding umbrella
water & healthy snacks (for between classes)

6th Grade Math - Period 1  Monday - 8/30 - Workbook p.5 #1-6 and p.6 Odd #s. Remember to use Simplest Form.

Tuesday - 8/31 - Workbook p.8, ALL. Show work, remember to use LCD (least common denominator) and simplest form.

Wednesday - 9/1 - Workbook p.10, ALL. Show work, use LCD and SImplest Form.

Thursday - 9/2 - Study for Chapter 0 Quiz on Friday. Use the "Reteach" workbook pages and the internet resources to help you study.

Friday - No HW!

 

Advanced Math - Periods 3, 4, 5 & 6   Monday - 8/31 - Workbook p.8 & 9. Show work, use LCD (least common denominator) and Simplest Form.

Tuesday - 8/31 - Textbook p.23, ALL. Show work in your spiral. PLUS use the "reteach" pages in workbook & Online Resources to help you study for the Quiz on Chapter 0 on Wednesday.

Wednesday - 9/1 - Textbook p.26 #1-14, in spiral. Copy problems, show work.

Thursday - 9/2 - Textbook p.29-31, #22-40 Show work in your spiral.

Friday - Textbook p.36 & 37, #24-37, but skip #27. Show work in your spiral.
